South Coast Sailboats
Preventer lines & Preventer line
pulleys
I added preventer lines that ran from the end of the tail
end of the boom (on both sides) to pulleys located up by the bow,
and then back to the cotpit. This will stop the main from swinging
from side to side when running with the wind (wing on wing, or
when flying the spinnaker). This is fundamental and functional
for long down wind sailing, but I find that I don't often rig
for this type of usage (this has to do more with where I sail,
as opposed to how I sail). (An good recommendation for sailing
in open waters)
